One of the first things to catch your eye of this wonderful book is the beautiful cut–paper collage artwork. Illustrated by the talented Margie Florini, each page mirrors the authors words in such a whimsical way. As you turn each page, you see children tucked into their beds with an array of cut–paper artwork surrounding them. You can actually “see” the children dreaming. This lovely book goes beyond it’s artistic loveliness with thoughtful text. Words you would hope every child could dream about as they sleep.Reviewed on “Motherhood Later” by Cara Potapshyn Meyers:

An Article in The Newburyport Newsabout the books origin and collaboration between the author, Laurie Collins and the illustrator, Margie Florini.
“Cradles to Crayons made me stop and think not every child goes off to bed feeling safe and warm,” she (Collins) said. “All children should have the potential to be whatever they want to be. We should make that possible, as a society, to keep them safe and warm at night with plenty to eat.”

A press release in The Imperial Valley News describing the story, author and artist.
